Victory Already Guaranteed in the Name of Jesus, Amen - Pastor Kalu Oji

You may not have originally been included as part of the recipients of the saving grace and plan of God. You may perhaps have been a member of the group destined for destruction in the land of Canaan. I want to let you know today that you are not alone. God has a way of showing mercy to undeserving people like you and me. We are talking about this same God who released His mercies upon Ruth the Moabitess and Rahab the prostitute from Jericho. We are talking about this same God who turned around the life of Esther, a Jewish orphan and slave in the land of Persia and Media from slavery into the queen of Media and Persia. This same God is still at work today with His mercies that remain new every morning. Watch this:

"Now it came to pass when Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem heard how Joshua had taken Ai and had utterly destroyed it—as he had done to Jericho and its king, so he had done to Ai and its king—and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel and were among them, 2 that they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, like one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all its men were mighty. 3 Therefore Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, Piram king of Jarmuth, Japhia king of Lachish, and Debir king of Eglon, saying, 4 “Come up to me and help me, that we may attack Gibeon, for it has made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.” 5 Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon, gathered together and went up, they and all their armies, and camped before Gibeon and made war against it" (Joshua 10:1-5, NKJV).

Many times in our lives, Satan and his group of deplorable agents go out of their way to make life very unbearable for us.
At other times, they get tired of the numerous obstacles they have already placed before us and now decide to do all they can to destroy us. The good news today is that the LORD our God, the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob neither sleeps nor slumbers. Our God remains the same yesterday, today and forever.

Our God never changes. COME ON NOW!!!

I am not in any way supporting the Gibeonites for taking the step of falsehood and deceit to get over the children of Israel.

They did what they did to preserve their lives in an oncoming and already determined destruction based on God's judgment. God alone is the Judge of all mankind. When Gibeon was faced with such a situation, God's word records that:

"And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying, “Do not forsake your servants; come up to us quickly, save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites who dwell in the mountains have gathered together against us" (Joshua 10:6, NKJV).

It does not matter what we face today. What matters is that we have aligned ourselves with the LORD our God who is the Creator of all things. What matters is that we have taken refuge in the hands of the King of all kings and the LORD of all lords. What matters is that we have taken refuge in the hands of the Great I AM and have surrendered totally to the Captain of the LORD's army. COME ON NOW!!! It is time for us to get on our knees and call upon the LORD our God the same way the Gibeonites called upon Him by reaching out to Joshua and the children of Israel.

Watch this:

"So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valor. 8 And the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you.” 9 Joshua therefore came upon them suddenly, having marched all night from Gilgal. 10 So the Lord routed them before Israel, killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, chased them along the road that goes to Beth Horon, and struck them down as far as Azekah and Makkedah. 11 And it happened, as they fled before Israel and were on the descent of Beth Horon, that the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword" (Joshua 10:7-11, NKJV).

It does not matter how many battle fronts are up against us today. What matters is that the LORD our God is the One fighting these battles on our behalf. God's word in Psalm 46:10, KJV says:

"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."

God's people, it is time for us to be physically still and spiritually active. It is time for us to call upon the LORD our God for Him to arise mightily on our behalf like He arose mightily on the behalf of the people of Gibeon so much so that the Five kings and Amorite nations dwelling in the mountains were totally destroyed in the name of Jesus, Amen. It is time for us to lift up our eyes to the LORD our God from whom comes our help. It is time for us to reach out to the LORD our God who remains the same yesterday, today and forever and who has already guaranteed our victory in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank You dear LORD for Your faithfulness to us in the name of Jesus, Amen.#OurvictoryisalreadyguaranteedinthenameofJesusAmen.
